About the role
13-week travel assignment in a Cath Lab department within a hospital setting in Louisville, Kentucky. The position requires a rotating schedule:
- Week 1: Monday–Friday day shift, 0700–1530
- Week 2: Monday–Friday call coverage, 1530–0700, plus Saturday–Sunday 0700–0700
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week. Call coverage is required during Week 2 rotation with no on-call or call-in pay.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing patients for cath lab procedures, including scrubbing and monitoring/recording hemodynamic pressures
- Utilize the invasive cardiology process to prepare the procedure room and patient prior to procedures
- Address health educational needs for patients, families, and other healthcare providers
- Manage patient care assignments and related organizational tasks tied to unit operations
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles during patient interactions
- Demonstrate professional development and clinical competency in daily practice
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Current BLS certification
- One of the following certifications required: RCIS, ARRT(VI), or RTRCI (license required if applicable)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with health education, patient care management, and growth and development knowledge
