Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,186 per week

About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures for a 13-week travel assignment in Waterbury, Connecticut. This role involves working in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with a dedicated electrophysiology (EP) lab, featuring a 1:1 patient ratio.

Schedule

• 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• On-call coverage of 2 weeknights weekly unless working the weekend
• Weekend rotation of every third weekend
• 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Equipment setup and maintenance
• Room circulating and scrubbing to maintain a sterile field
• Inventory and supply stocking
• Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE protocols

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab / EP Technologist
• Current BLS certification
• License required if applicable
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, IABP, Impella insertion, and TAVR
• Experience with EP procedures such as cardiac ablation, mapping, conduction studies, and AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
• Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Skills in EKG lead placement, access site prep, hemodynamic monitoring, and arrhythmia recognition
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• PACS experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius accepted at a lower bill rate
