About the Role
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with ARRT or RCIS certification and community hospital experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Silver Spring, Maryland. This role is within a cardiac cath lab unit in a hospital setting, featuring a day shift schedule of 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM). On-call is required, and candidates must be willing to float within the hospital within their scope of practice. Experience with the McKesson charting system is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Accurate hemodynamic monitoring
- EKG lead placement
- Room circulating
- Maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
- Perform or assist with cardiac cath lab procedures, including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and cardiac stent placement
- May perform or assist with abdominal, pelvic, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
- ARRT or RCIS certification required
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Fluoro Permit preferred
- CCI RCES or CCI RCIS certification preferred
- ARRT Advanced Certification or ARRT R certification preferred
- Community hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Structural heart experience preferred
- Skilled in EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing
- Experience with TAVR, Watchman, Impella insertion, and ECMO preferred
- Experience with vascular studies including angioplasty, stent placement, and IVC filter placement preferred
- Maryland or Compact license required; must be active and in hand at time of consideration
- Two supervisor references required

- No mile radius rule applies; local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 4-6 hours, completed through WorkDay
Pay
Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
