Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,091 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist (Echo Technologist) for an immediate opening in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 14-week travel assignment with a 40-hour workweek and 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed.
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies.
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams.
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards.
• Perform quality Transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations.
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images.
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study.
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCS national certification.
• State-specific licensing when required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
