About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist (Echo Technologist) for an immediate opening in Lexington, Kentucky. This is a 14-week travel assignment with a 40-hour workweek and 10-hour day shifts.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed.
- Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies.
- Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams.
- Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards.
- Perform quality Transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations.
- Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images.
- Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
- Perform all related processing required for each completed study.
- Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist.
- BLS certification.
- ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCS national certification.
- State-specific licensing when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay
Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
