Travel Cath Lab Tech - $2,959 per week

About the role

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist (Echo Technologist) for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. This is an immediate travel opening requiring 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
• Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
• Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler exams
• Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to physician and benchmark standards
• Perform quality Transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
• Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
• Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
• Perform all related processing required for each completed study
• Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist
• BLS certification
• ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RS National Certification
• State-specific licensing when required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
