About the role

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a 536-bed acute care teaching hospital in Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, temporary pacemaker, and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Operate fluoroscopy equipment as a core requirement.
  • Maintain a sterile field while scrubbing cases.
  • Interpret and perform procedures such as TAVR, ECMO, Impella insertion, ASD closures, EP studies, and a wide range of vascular, neurological, and interventional procedures.
  • Work in a cardiac cath lab setting, including Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab; EP Lab experience is preferred.
  • Float between sister facilities within the state.
  • Be available for on-call shifts on both weekdays and weekends; weekend 12-hour shifts may be required during staff shortages.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required.
  • Active Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) license required; candidates with an active license from another state who have applied or will apply for an Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license will be considered — license required if applicable.
  • OBMI licensure is required to operate fluoroscopy equipment in Oregon.
  • BLS and ACLS required; CCI RCIS or ARRT certification required.
  • Epic EMR experience required.
  • Ability to scrub cases and maintain a sterile field.
  • Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment.
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration.
  • To be considered, must have two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
  • Prior experience at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or registry/per-diem must be disclosed, including location and dates worked.
  • Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
  • Up to 6 days of RTO (or 3 consecutive days) may be auto-approved; requests beyond 6 days require client approval and may delay the offer — all RTO must be requested upfront.
  • No parking fee on site.
  • Coil embolization and Rotablader experience is preferred.

  • Active OBMI licensure (or eligibility) for fluoroscopy operation.

Benefits

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
