Travel Cath Lab Tech - $2,885 per week

About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Anchorage, Alaska.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and structural heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, MitraClip)
  • Conduct Interventional Radiology procedures including lines, drains, embolizations, upper/lower extremity interventions, fistulas, visceral angio/intervention, and stroke thrombectomy
  • Work in various procedure areas including neurointervention and CRM device implants
  • Work 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Sometimes work on Saturdays as part of the regular 4-shift weekly schedule
  • Occasionally required to work 1 on-call shift per week and every 4th weekend
  • Use Epic EMR system for charting
  • Parking is free

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, EP, IR, and neuro interventional procedures
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and either ARRT (R) or RCIS
  • Experience with EP, IR, vascular, hemodynamic monitoring, and neuro interventional procedures
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Copies of certifications required for consideration
  • Licenses required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration
  • Hepatitis B vaccination required; titers and declinations are not accepted

Benefits

Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply

  • Preferred equipment experience includes Philips X-Ray System, McKesson for Cath Lab, and MacLab/Cardio Lab for EP
  • Scrubs are provided
  • Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • Time off is approved on an individual basis; only 1 RTO request is permitted per 13-week assignment
  • Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
  • Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment
