Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Adult patient population, including middle and older adult age groups
- Perform procedures such as diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, rotablator atherectomy, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and implant closure device procedures
- Uses Pyxis and Epic systems
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Weekend, overnight, and holiday call required
- May float to like units within scope of practice as needed, with brief unit orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Current ACLS, BLS, and ARRT or CCI (RCIS) certification required
- Valid RN or applicable Allied license required at time of consideration, if applicable
- Charting system experience required (any system accepted, Epic preferred)
- Skilled in equipment set up, sterile technique, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field, as well as serving as room circulator
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs provided in royal blue
- Responsibilities include recognizing dysrhythmias, maintaining infection control practices, and adhering to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel position
- Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
