Travel Cath Lab RN - $3,512 per week

About the role

Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Rochester, New York. The assignment starts 10/12/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and requires 40 hours per week (10‑hour shifts, days) as a travel RN.

Responsibilities

• Perform interventional cardiac catheterizations and assist with a variety of special procedures.
• Provide care for patients undergoing diagnostic catheterizations, cardiac stent placements, and pulmonary interventions.
• Administer medications and monitor patients during procedural sedation.
• Conduct vital sign assessments and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting is required.
• Candidates with IR only experience will not be considered.
• Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Active certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
• Experience with Epic software is preferred.

Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of interventional procedures, including IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and various catheterizations.
• Experience with central venous access, dialysis graft creation/revision, and classification of emergency medications.
• Proficiency in infection prevention and procedural standard precautions.

Pay

Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

Schedule: 4‑10 hour days per week (7:00 AM‑5:30 PM). Average 8‑10 call shifts per month, including 1‑2 weekends depending on the schedule. Limit requests for time off (RTO) to approximately 1 week.
