Travel Cath Lab RN - $3,257 per week

About the role

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a large academic hospital and Level I trauma center recognized for advanced cardiac care and innovation, seeks a travel nurse RN for its Cardiac Cath Lab. The unit features 18 RECOVERY beds and handles 40-60 cases daily, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-3. You will work Monday through Friday with no call, weekends, or holidays.

• Mitral Clips
• WATCHMAN implants
• Patent foramen ovale closure
• Transcatheter aortic valve replacement
• Ablations
• Pacemaker and ICD placements
• Laser lead extraction
• VATs with or without lobectomy
• Incision and drainage

Equipment & unit details

• Common equipment includes C-Clamp, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and ventricular assist devices
• The unit does not titrate vasoactive drips
• This area of the facility utilizes ancillary staff
• Scrub colors: Navy Blue

Required qualifications

• Registered Nurse, Cath Lab
• At least 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience within the last 3 years
• At least 1 assignment in travel experience
• Comfortable with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically EPIC
• Certifications: BLS-AHA, ACLS-AHA, CERT-NIH Stroke Scale
• Experience with pulling venous and arterial sheaths from the femoral, radial, and brachial sites
• Comfortable with Recovery Setting for Cath Lab, ER Lab and CVOR patients that do not require an ICU level of care

• Compact RN License In-Hand
• Previous Travel Experience
• EPIC EMR

Pay

Pay Rate: $3176.00 - $3338.00, based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
