Travel Cath Lab RN - $3,168 per week

About the Role

Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Albany, New York. This is a 13-week assignment with 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention for cardiac procedures, including:
  • Left and right heart catheterization
  • Coronary stents
  • Balloon valvuloplasty
  • Pericardiocentesis
  • Structural heart procedures
  • Intra-aortic balloon pumps
  • Impella and EKOS
• Serve as a member of the Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team)
• Administer oral and intravenous medication to patients
• Manage patients under sedation to watch for adverse reactions
• Educate patients and their families regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications, and other postoperative information
• Manage paperwork, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure documentation
• Collaborate with other medical staff as needed

Requirements

• Active New York RN license
• 2 years of cath lab, procedural, or sedation experience
• Shift: 0700-1730 with weekend and night call requirements

Pay package is based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
