Modern Healthcare Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This role involves providing care for patients undergoing coronary PCI and structural heart procedures.

Shift & schedule details

• Schedule: 4x9 hour shifts with a start time of 0700
• Total weekly hours: 36
• On-call requirements: 10 to 12 call shifts per month, which include every third weekend
• Holiday requirements: Staff members may be required to work 1-2 of the following upcoming summer holidays, unless the unit is closed: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day

• Bed Size: 2
• Patient Types: Coronary PCI and Structural Heart
• Equipment: Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), Penumbra
• Drips: Vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of recent Cath Lab experience is required
• Experience with patients undergoing coronary PCI and structural heart procedures is essential
• Proficiency in operating Impella, IABP, and Penumbra equipment is required
• Experience with vasopressors and vasodilators is necessary
• Knowledge of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors is required
• EPIC Cupid EMR experience is highly preferred
• Active Iowa license or compact multistate license is required at the time of submission
• ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA or ARC are required

Additional information

• First-time travelers are welcomed, provided they have at least 2 years of relevant Cath Lab experience
• Candidates must be located at least 50 miles from the facility
