About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Decatur, Illinois. The assignment starts 11/02/2026, lasts 13 weeks, requires 40 hours per week on 10‑hour day shifts, and is a travel employment type.

Responsibilities

• Work with a highly skilled team in a cardiovascular surgical environment, assisting physicians during procedures.
• Maintain and monitor EKG equipment.
• Assist during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties, and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs).

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience (minimum 2 years preferred).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Specialty in Cardiac Cath Lab.

Skills

• Ability to learn complex technologies quickly.
• Strong stress‑coping skills for a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and ability to relate to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Capable of lifting 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require up to 50 pounds.
