Travel Cath Lab RN - $2,738 per week

About the role

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a travel nursing job in La Crosse, Wisconsin. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment providing assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment, and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization as a way to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).

Requirements

• ACLS, BLS
• 2 Years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Physical demands

• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds.
• Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times.

Skills

• Good skills for coping with stress in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Pay

Pay package is based on 9 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

9 hours, days. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week.
