About the role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Cardiac Cath Lab for a 12-week assignment in Round Rock, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
- Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
- Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
- Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
- Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
- Perform, set up, and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred.
Qualifications
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cardiac catheterization lab procedures.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
