Certification Details
- BLS (must be AHA) obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

Job Details
Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
- Assess, prepare and position patients for procedures.
- Perform conscious sedation and hemodynamic monitoring as necessary.
- Prepare, implement and document plan of care.
- Communicate patient's condition to physician before, during and after procedures.
- Perform and/or facilitate diagnostic, therapeutic and interventional procedures.
- Perform, set up, and provide equipment and supplies before, during and after procedures.
Job Requirements
- Registered Nurse licensure obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire.

- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start.

- Ascension Specialty Exam completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years thereafter.
- Ascension Color Vision completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
- Ascension Core Competencies completed within a year of start updated every 3 years.
- Ascension EKG Exam with passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years.
- Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required.
- Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding done onsite.
- Ascension Nova StatStrip pre-hire modules required prior to clearance.
- Ascension Cerner Test-Out required prior to clearance.
- MMR documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG Titer required.
- Fit Test required for all travelers, preferred prior to start.
- Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or declination documentation required.
- Health Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.
- Driver's License/State ID must not be expired and must match address on file.
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA required with specific timing prior to start.
- Varicella documented proof of immunity or vaccination required.
- Tdap valid within 10 years required.
- Ascension Profile (Resume) required for submission.
- Two professional references required prior to first assignment.
- Ascension Criminal Background Check including multiple searches within 90 days of first assignment and updated annually.
- Ascension EPLS run within 90 days of start.
- Ascension Skills Checklist clinical only, to be completed within one year of start; updated annually.
- Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Ascension Education Verification within 90 days of start.
- Ascension Confirmation of Assignment upon initial assignment and updates upon extension.
- Ascension Employment Verification for past seven years.
- Optional: Ascension Unit Specific Checklist, Hiring Manager Evaluation, Ascension Name Change Document, Ascension Badge Photo, Influenza Vaccine (optional during flu season), Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire (optional).
