Travel Cath Lab RN - $2,397 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position in Wilson, North Carolina. The assignment is 13 weeks long with 8‑hour day shifts, 40 hours per week, and is a travel role. The ideal candidate should have 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience. You will work with a highly skilled team in a cardiovascular surgical environment, assisting physicians, maintaining and monitoring EKG equipment, and supporting procedures such as angioplasty, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively.
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization for diagnosis or treatment.
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties, and stent placements.
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillators (ICDs).
• Maintain and monitor EKG equipment.
• Assist during electrophysiology procedures.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Demonstrate good stress‑coping skills and the ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting the assignment.
