Travel Cath Lab Registered Nurse - $3,510 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, and providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the patient's procedural experience. The RN will plan, implement, coordinate, and document individualized patient care while ensuring adherence to evidence-based nursing practices and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients before and during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Aiding physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures
• Providing comprehensive nursing care throughout the patient's procedural experience
• Documenting individualized patient care plans
• Ensuring adherence to evidence-based nursing practices and organizational standards
• Assisting with interventional cardiac procedures, hemodynamic support devices, and electronic documentation systems
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment

Requirements

• Experienced Cath Lab circulating nurse with strong knowledge of interventional cardiac procedures, hemodynamic support devices, and electronic documentation systems
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience and 2 years of experience preferred
• Experience with Circulating Nurse responsibilities, EPIC, Mac-LAB, Impella, Balloon Pump, PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), Right Heart Cath, Left Heart Cath
• Strong circulating nurse experience
• Experience with Impella and Balloon Pump support
• Experience assisting with PCI, Left Heart Cath, and Right Heart Cath procedures
• Pacemaker insertion and Pulmonary Embolism case experience
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and the Cath Lab team

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Compact RN License
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Telemetry certification/competency
