About the role
Provide ultrasound procedures with a focus on adult echocardiography and vascular imaging.
Responsibilities
- Review patient history, educate patients, and prepare for procedures.
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
- Perform imaging, select appropriate settings, and ensure safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and analyze imaging results for quality.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary team, precept new staff, and uphold safety and quality at the point of care.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
- Obtain at least one adult echo and one vascular credential from ARDMS or CCI.
- State licensure if required, and BLS certification.
Skills
- Proficiency in patient care and imaging techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
