About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our Cardiac/Telemetry Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This 13-week travel contract position requires expertise in caring for higher acuity cardiac patients. The ideal candidate will provide advanced nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for a 36-bed PCU specialized in cardiac telemetry.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac conditions, including post-operative care.
• Titrate and manage IV drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, and Heparin.
• Assess patient conditions, interpret telemetry strips, and make clinical decisions based on findings.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Supervise and coordinate care with nursing assistants and other support staff.

Requirements

• Current and valid RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Previous experience in a Progressive Care Unit or telemetry unit is strongly preferred.
• Ability to titrate IV medications is essential.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Contract and local rates may vary based on location and applicant residency.
