Travel Cardiac Telemetry RN - $2,459 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit position in Modesto, California. The assignment starts 11/10/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The ideal candidate has 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify appropriate medical team members.
• Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care (telemetry) experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds routinely; patient handling may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Visual acuity: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
