About the Role
Join a specialized Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit caring for cardiac and stroke patients in a high-acuity environment.
- Location: Bowling Green, Kentucky
- Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 or 4x12)
- Contract: 13 Weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in an Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown Unit
- Adhere to nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5
- Work every other weekend (negotiable)
- Block scheduling may be considered
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Advanced Heart Care/Cardiac Stepdown experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required (No first-time travelers)
- Active Kentucky or Compact RN License (required at submission)
- AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Requested Time Off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Copies of certifications required
- No open or pending background/license issues accepted
- Local candidates within 65 miles are not accepted
- Must be able to stay within 30 minutes of the facility during the assignment
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a Certified Stroke Center or Stroke Unit
- BE-FAST stroke assessment competency
- Bedside dysphagia screening
- Familiarity with acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke guidelines
