• Shift: 12H Nights
• Total Weekly Hours: 36

Certifications

• BLS and ACLS are required
• NIHS is preferred

Skills

• Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry (on the unit monitoring)
• Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
• Peripheral Line Care and Management
• PICC line management
• Manage Cardiac and Vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Titrating Cardiac and Vasoactive drips
• Procedural Sedation Administration
• Chest tubes
• Emerson, Pleur-evac
• External CPAP/BIPAP
• Tracheostomy Management
• Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred

Patient Care Focus

• Cardiac patients (Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac catheterization, myocardial infarction, syncope, pacemaker placement)
• Secondary focus on respiratory problems (e.g., COPD, pneumonia, BIPAP)

Additional Requirements

• Licence in hand required with submission
• All RNs are required to pass an EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
• Covid-19 and Flu vaccines required with medical/religious exemptions only

Work Schedule

• 3x12 hour shifts, Nights, 7p-7:30a
• Weekend rotation; holidays as needed

Other Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratios generally 1:5 with drips/BIPAP
• Staffing is self-assisted scheduling through Optilink
• Float to any Cone Health campus if needed
• Facilities require background checks with no open cases accepted
• Education verification through a 3rd party is required
• Facility does not accept education from schools on the Diploma Fraud Florida Education Audit list
