Travel Cardiac ICU Registered Nurse - $1,883 per week

About the role

We are seeking a travel nurse RN for a CVICU position in Asheville, North Carolina. The start date is ASAP and the duration is 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CCU.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions using telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies according to protocols.
• Cook with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Perform advanced procedures including central line insertion, cardioversion, and chest tube management.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• ICU experience is required.
• Certification in CCRN, IABP, Impella, and CRRT is preferred.
• Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
• Experience with ventilators, telemetry interpretation, and understanding of hemodynamics.

Qualifications

Must have a strong foundation in critical care nursing and the ability to handle complex patient care using advanced equipment and treatment protocols.

Pay

The pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, with a requirement of 36 hours per week, including alternating weekends.
