Travel Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse

Role and Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization, arteriograms, electrophysiology, and other specialized procedures using sterile techniques.
• Prepare examination areas, position patients, operate complex radiology and procedural equipment, and support physicians during procedures.
• Provide age-appropriate patient assessment and care throughout the process.
• Participate in rotating Saturday call coverage, managing 5–10 procedures daily across two procedure rooms.

Qualifications and Skills

• Active Illinois RN license or initiation confirmation
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology setting
• Ability to work within sterile fields and follow protocols
• Pass a drug screen (drug-free campus)
• Preferred Skills: Experience working with Electrophysiologists in an EP lab, Familiarity with team-based cath lab operations involving RNs and technicians
