About the role

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in a clinical setting. This role involves providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures, assisting physicians with radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular interventions, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining sterile conditions. The technologist also educates patients and families on procedures, documents clinical activities, and supports quality and patient safety initiatives. Shift scheduling is daytime hours with on-call availability on weekdays and weekends.

Schedule

  • Days, 10 hours per shift
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Assist in complex cardiovascular procedures
  • Maintain equipment and stock
  • Document clinical activities
  • Participate in safety and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid certifications such as:
    • ARRT (Radiography, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, or Vascular Interventional Radiography)
    • CCI-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
    • CCI-Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
    • or equivalent
  • BLS and ACLS certifications endorsed by the American Heart Association
  • Fluoroscopy certification and radiation badge supplied by the vendor

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in Cardiology or Cath Lab setting
