Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - $3,380 per week

Job Summary

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves providing technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures, assisting physicians with radiological imaging, maintaining sterile conditions, and educating patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care. The technologist will also participate in data documentation, quality initiatives, and safety procedures within the facility.

Job Details

• Provide technical support during invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Provide patient care under the supervision of the registered nurse.
• Assist physicians in radiological imaging of cardiac and vascular procedures, acting as scrub assistant, and maintaining sterile conditions throughout clinical procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment and work in the control room monitoring and documenting procedure images and events.
• Educate patients and families regarding the procedure and about the expectations of the procedure.
• Teach patients and families about pre- and post-procedure physical conditions.
• Absorb order and cleanliness of the unit, ensuring appropriate stock levels for complex interventions and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete daily, progress, and discharge documentation according to departmental standards, accurately documenting productivity information.
• Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives, identifying potential areas for process improvement and safety hazards.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization, adhering to service behavior standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of experience in Cardiology/Cath Laboratory preferred.
• Certifications including ARRT (Radiography, Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography, or Vascular Interventional Radiography), CCI- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCI- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), Radiation badge provided by vendor; fluoroscopy operator registration required for RCIS or RCES.
• Associates degree or higher education in related field.

Pay

The pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
