Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - $2,931 per week

Junxion Med Staffing is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for an assignment in Springfield, Illinois starting on August 17, 2026. This is a 13-week travel position with 36 hours per week.

About the Role

This position is for a Cath Lab Technologist in a Level I trauma center with 562 staffed beds. The role involves working in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath labs, with responsibilities including equipment setup, scrub procedures, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts (0630-1900)
• 36 hours per week (4x12s or 3x12s)
• Weekend requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract
• On-call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency
• Floating required for all travelers
• Orientation Day 1 is virtual, at-home

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac cath lab procedures including:
  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)
  • IABP Placement/Removal
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Left heart catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Right heart catheterization
  • Rotablader athrectomy
  • Scrub Procedures
• Equipment setup
• Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Adherence to infection control protocols (Isolation Precautions, Sterile Technique)
• Demonstrate age-specific competencies for Middle and Older Adult patients

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Diagnostic or Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• First-time travelers accepted
• Active Illinois license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS
• Cerner experience required
• Background check required (findings must be disclosed at submission)

Pay

Estimated weekly pay includes projected hourly wages and weekly meal and lodging per diems for eligible clinicians based on nationally published GSA rates. Actual weekly pay and per diems may differ and are subject to change during an assignment.
