Description
Work in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with call requirements to be discussed with the manager during the interview
40 hours per week
Charting is performed in Cerner
May float to a nearby sister hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, or at least 1 year of experience in Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology
Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
Active SC or compact state license required if applicable
SCRQSA Radiographer Certification required
ARRT (R) certification required
BLS through the American Heart Association required
Completion of an ARRT-accredited Vascular Interventional Radiology program and ARRT VI certification preferred
2 references required for consideration - Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Perform Special Procedures exams under the medical supervision of certified radiologists and in accordance with established protocols
Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student Radiologic Technologists as assigned
Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate care, including obtaining informed consent and communicating discharge instructions to family members
Ensures correct orders, diagnoses, and clinical history are entered into the system and communicates effectively with radiologists
Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and adheres to DHEC, TJC, OSHA, and FDA standards
Assists other members of the imaging team and clerical staff to maintain records, reports, and files
