About the role
Travel position in the Cath Lab at Valley Regional in Brownsville, Texas. 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts.
Unit Information
- 2 Cath Labs
- Day-shift staffing: 1 manager/director, 4 technologists, 2 RNs
- Night-shift staffing: callbacks only
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: IABP, Impella, stents, balloons, IVUS, FFR, ultrasound
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress code: Navy scrubs
- 30-minute callback response time
- On-call rotation: every other weekend and every other weeknight
Responsibilities
- Perform heart catheterizations, interventions, pacemaker/AICD implants, Watchman procedures, EP ablations
- Perform peripheral venous/arterial procedures
- Float to IR, ICU (if competent), and pre/post PACU as needed
Requirements
- ACLS certification (required)
- RCIS certification (required)
- IABP and Impella experience (required)
- Interventional Cath (peripheral/coronary) experience (required)
- EP experience (preferred)
