Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist - $1,436 per week

TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Clinic Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Tyler, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate complex laboratory analyses on blood and other body fluids.
• Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to review lab results and confirm diagnoses.
• Perform quality assurance testing and instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Utilize microscopes, cell counters, and other high-precision lab equipment to examine and analyze blood, body fluids, tissues, and cells.
• Investigate and resolve problems and unusual situations.
• Evaluate and implement new methodologies and procedures as assigned by supervisors.
• Supervise other laboratory personnel as needed.
• Use medical center and laboratory computer systems in the performance of daily tasks.
• Generate appropriate and required documentation of testing and support procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a Clinical Lab Specialist.
• A current BLS certification.
• The MLS National Certification.
• Experience working as a generalist (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis).
• May require state licensure.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Benefits

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
