About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Clinic Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Tyler, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Perform and evaluate complex laboratory analyses on blood and other body fluids.
- Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to review lab results and confirm diagnoses.
- Perform quality assurance testing and instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Utilize microscopes, cell counters, and other high-precision lab equipment to examine and analyze blood, body fluids, tissues, and cells.
- Investigate and resolve problems and unusual situations.
- Evaluate and implement new methodologies and procedures as assigned by supervisors.
- Supervise other laboratory personnel as needed.
- Use medical center and laboratory computer systems in the performance of daily tasks.
- Generate appropriate and required documentation of testing and support procedures.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a Clinical Lab Specialist.
- A current BLS certification.
- The MLS National Certification.
- Experience working as a generalist (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, and urinalysis).
- May require state licensure.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Skills
- Knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
