Details

• Level 1 trauma acute‑care hospital with six cath lab suites separate from IR and EP
• Average of 10–15 cases per day
• 9‑hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays
• On‑call requirements on a rotational basis, approximately 8–9 shifts per month
• Call response time required: 30 minutes from page
• Cardiologists on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Primary charge nurse covers 06:00–15:30 and takes call but does not routinely complete cases
• Not currently required to float
• Uses Epic, PACS, and McKesson cardiology PACS systems

Responsibilities

• Scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating during procedures
• Unit‑specific orientation typically lasts 3–5 days
• Hospital provides scrubs
• Participate in mandatory call list when staff cannot fulfill their call shift
• Accept local candidates with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility
• Maintain a drug‑free campus; negative drug screen required for all panels

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years cath lab experience
• ARRT and BLS certification
• IEMA certification
• Active state license (if applicable)
• Pediatric experience preferred
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred

Schedule

• 10‑hour day shifts (4 × 10 hr) – 40 hrs/week
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• On‑call rotational schedule, approximately 8–9 shifts per month
• Call response required within 30 minutes of paging
