Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - $3,286 per week
About the role
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a Cardiac Cath Lab at a 200-bed specialty care hospital in Marquette, Michigan. The facility features a dedicated Heart & Vascular Institute and operates as a Level 2 trauma center, serving adult and geriatric patient populations.
Charting is performed using Merge Hemo and Cerner EHR systems. Scrubs are provided by the facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures under physician direction, including angiography, angioplasty, arterial line insertion, coronary angioplasty, CTO, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, intravascular ultrasound, stent placement, thrombolysis, venography, and wave wire techniques.
- Support structural heart and vascular interventional procedures, including contrast administration and peripheral, thoracic, and PE emergency procedures.
- Assist with EP studies; training available if needed.
- Work collaboratively as part of a care team in the Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiac Imaging department.
- Provide every other weekend on-call coverage, with a requirement to report within 30 minutes of being called in.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- RCIS certification accepted in lieu of other credentials.
- License required if applicable.
- Experience with hemodynamic calculations and right/left heart catheterization preferred.
- Experience with structural heart and vascular interventional procedures preferred.
- Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration.
- Must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment rate.
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible.
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis.
Schedule
- 13-week assignment starting September 14, 2026.
- 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
- Variable shift start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM.
- Every other weekend on-call coverage required.
