American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 5+ years of experience and RCIS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in a cardiac catheterization lab in Birmingham, Alabama. The role involves working in a 4-lab unit with a 1:1 patient ratio, serving an adult cardiac population.

Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM to 7:00 PM) on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• One weekday call shift per week
• One weekend of call per month
• Weekend coverage required once a month
• 36 hours per week
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterization procedures supporting a comprehensive heart and vascular program
• Work with Merge Hemo equipment and EMR (Epic also in use)
• Operate and manage equipment including IABP, Impella, Laser, Shockwave, and Philips panning
• Adhere to a 1:1 patient ratio in a 4-lab cardiac catheterization unit
• Maintain professionalism, including wearing ceil blue or royal blue scrubs at all times

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Cath Lab experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certification
• RCIS certification required
• Experience with IABP, Impella, Laser, Shockwave, and Philips panning
• Merge Hemo experience preferred
• State license required if applicable
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
