Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Tech - $2,231 per week

About the role

Contract Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (travel) in San Antonio, TX. The assignment is 13 weeks long, full‑time (36 hours per week) on 12‑hour shifts. Start date is ASAP. One opening is available.

Responsibilities

• Perform right and left heart catheterizations, PCI and complex PCI procedures.
• Utilize diagnostic and interventional peripherals such as EKOS, PFO occluders, and nitric oxide studies.
• Implant pacemakers and ICDs, conduct EP ablations, and place Watchman devices.
• Assist with interventional radiology cases.
• Record procedures using GE Mac Lab and document in Meditech EMR.
• Provide on‑call coverage M‑F (1‑2 nights/week) and one weekend per month (24 hrs).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in a cardiac cath lab with complex PCI experience (including Impella and IABP placement/management).
• Recording experience with GE Mac Lab EMR.
• Must be within 30 minutes of the facility to meet call requirements.
• One of the following certifications: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and take extra call as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EP lab procedures.
• Peripheral vascular intervention experience.
• Demonstrated collaborative teamwork and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Equipment and Technology

• Siemens X‑Ray equipment.
• GE Mac Lab recording system.
• Meditech EMR.

Pay

Weekly gross pay: $2,119 – $2,231 (based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).

Schedule

• Day shift: 07:00 – 15:30, Monday‑Friday (primary schedule).
• Night call: starts at 15:30, covering 15:30 – 07:00 on 1‑2 nights per week.
• Weekend call: one weekend per month, 24 hours coverage Saturday and Sunday.

Dress Code

Scrubs in royal blue, provided by the facility.
