About the Role
MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is seeking a quality EP Tech for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with patient care in the electrophysiology lab through technical support to the cardiac catheterization and EP team.
- Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat heart and blood vessel issues in the patient.
- Execute noninvasive procedures.
- Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order.
- Evaluate images for quality and ensure the area in question is included.
- Identify differences between normal and abnormal images and communicate results to the doctor.
- Assist physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations, as well as accepted practice guidelines.
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional and timely manner, maintaining a patient-focused environment.
- Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
Requirements
- Current license in good standing.
- Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials.
- Eighteen months of EP Lab experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
