About the role

Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Nurse position in Grand Junction, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with an emphasis on cath lab procedures, health teaching, and health counseling. The position requires a highly skilled RN capable of executing medical functions, reviewing therapy plans, and documenting in compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Schedule

• Rotating shifts, 4 days of 10-hour days per week
• Weekend and on-call responsibilities requiring a 30-minute response time
• Minimum of 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with emphasis on cath lab procedures
• Execute medical functions, review therapy plans, and document in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Circulate PCIs and STEMIs
• Operate equipment such as Impella and IABP
• Administer medications and perform all basic nursing skills
• Float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs
• Be placed on-call during scheduled shifts as required

Requirements

• ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing
• Current RN license in the state of practice or a Compact RN license
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree of Nursing (BSN)
• Previous experience as a registered nurse in a cath lab setting
• Certification relevant to the specific unit or service
