Travel Cardiac Cath Lab RN - $2,684 per week

About the role

We're looking for Cardiac Cath Lab RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in North Platte, NE. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. As a Cath Lab RN, you'll work with a highly skilled team of medical professionals in a cardiovascular surgical environment providing assistance to the physician including maintenance and monitoring of EKG equipment, and assisting during angioplasty, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Learn complex technologies effectively
• Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization as a way to diagnose heart conditions or as a treatment
• Assist with angioplasties, valvuloplasties and stent placements
• Help implant pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty
• Lift up to 20 pounds routinely; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds
• Cope with stress in a fast-paced environment
• Relate to people of all ages and backgrounds

Requirements

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• 2 years recent acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment

Pay & Schedule

Pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Shift: 10 hours, nights. Duration: 13 weeks. Employment type: Travel.
