About the role
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specializing in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) for a role located in Birmingham, Alabama. The position involves providing advanced cardiac nursing care within a high-volume lab setting. The RN will be responsible for assisting in cardiac procedures and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a specialized environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in cardiac procedures in the Cath Lab
- Maintain patient safety during high-acuity interventions
- Provide advanced cardiac nursing care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team
Requirements
- Valid nursing license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in a cardiac catheterization or related specialty
- Located in Birmingham, AL or willing to commute to the area
- Professional attire and scrubs in Ceil Blue or Royal Blue (compliance with CMS and occupational standards)
- Excellent team collaboration skills, flexibility, initiative, and accountability
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with IABP, Impella device management, laser procedures, Shockwave therapy
- Experience with Phillips imaging systems and merge hemo
Schedule
- 40 hours per week (minimum guaranteed)
- 10-hour shifts, days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
