American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Normal, Illinois.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cath Lab TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 09/13/2026Duration: 20 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 10 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 4x10hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Sep 13, 2026Length: 20 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with required cardiac catheterization lab experience for a cardiac cath/special procedures unit.DetailsWork in the Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures unitPerform diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology devices, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology proceduresNight shift schedule of 4x10s from 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM20-week contract lengthCall rotation for weekends and holidaysMay be required to float to all areas of the department including Prep and RecoveryRequirementsCath Lab experience requiredNeuro Interventional, IR, and EP experience is a plusAssociate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate of Completion in Radiologic Technology requiredIEMA Radiography License (Illinois) required if applicableBLS and ACLS certification requiredARRT(R) registration requiredManual dexterity to handle small suppliesAbility to communicate effectively, follow directions, and complete detailed work accuratelyAdditional InformationAdminister contrast material via existing IV line or venipuncture and recognize/respond to hypersensitivity reactionsCirculate, scrub, and/or monitor cardiac cath, neuro interventional, peripheral vascular, structural, IR, and EP device procedures including Watchman casesUtilize adjunctive tools such as IVUS, FFR/iFR, Lithotripsy, Impella, IABP, OCT, Rotarex, HawkOne, Penumbra, EKOS, and InariPerform procedures including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, pericardiocentesis, coronary angiogram, temporary pacemaker insertion, EVAR, cerebral angiogram, aneurysm treatment with flow diverters and coils, and STEMI/stroke interventionAchieve hemostasis at vascular access sites and monitor patients for complicationsVerify successful image transfer to PACS and troubleshoot basic PACS issuesFollow ALARA principles to maintain staff and patient safety during invasive proceduresExpected to take call independently within 6 monthsMay assist in training new staffMaintain a clean and organized work areaAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-739924.
