Description

American Traveler is hiring a cross-trained Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience across EP, cardiac catheterization, neurointerventional, and structural heart procedures in Danbury, CT.

Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting

In Danbury, CT, the position involves procedures such as EP (ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, leadless pacing), cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and interventional PCI, atherectomy), neurointerventional and peripheral vascular angiography and endovascular interventions, and structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, Watchman).

Supports high-acuity and complex cardiovascular cases

The role supports high-acuity and complex cardiovascular cases, including emergent and advanced interventional procedures.

Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices

Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices including Impella and IABP is required.

Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation

Participation in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation as required by department needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab experience
  • State of CT Radiographer license and/or RCIS certification through CCI required — license required if applicable
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS required
  • Proficiency scrubbing EP procedures including ablations, device implants, generator changes, lead revisions, and leadless pacing systems (Micra, Aveir preferred)
  • Proficiency scrubbing cardiac catheterization procedures including diagnostic and interventional cases
  • Experience supporting neurointerventional and peripheral vascular procedures
  • Expertise in radial and femoral vascular access, sheath management, and vascular closure devices
  • If a licensed radiologic technologist, familiarity with Siemens equipment and RCIS certification preferred
  • Proficiency scrubbing structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, PFO/ASD closure, Watchman) preferred
  • Experience with advanced cardiovascular imaging technologies including ICE, IVUS, OCT, and 3D mapping systems preferred
  • Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the current discipline/specialty
