About the role
Audiologists diagnose conditions such as hearing loss and tinnitus (ringing in the ear). They use a variety of devices to identify the extent and underlying cause of hearing loss. For example, with audiometers they measure the volume and frequency at which a person hears.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat hearing loss and tinnitus
- Use audiometers and other devices to assess hearing levels
- Provide hearing aids and assistive listening devices
- Conduct evaluations and consultations with patients
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes
Requirements
- Master's degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Current license to practice Audiology in Washington State
- Experience working with adult patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
