About the role
The Travel Associate is a full-time, hybrid/on-site position within a dynamic and collaborative environment. As a crucial member of our support team, you will work closely with seasoned travel advisors to deliver top-notch service to our clients while gaining valuable experience in the travel industry.
Responsibilities
- Sales invoicing
- Create detailed itineraries to present to clients
- Track and report sales
- Destination research
- Assist with cruise, hotel, and tour bookings
- Review and prepare final travel documents
- Provide travel insurance quotes and confirmation for clients
- Review and monitor bookings to ensure seamless itineraries
- Assist clients when Lead Advisor is out of the office
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Organization & time-management skills
- Comfortable taking on a variety of tasks at once
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Team player; dynamic and team-oriented mindset
Nice to Have
- Previous work in a customer service role
- Personal travel experience
- Experience with Axus, Clientbase, or booking engines/GDS
Pay
$50,000 base salary plus quarterly bonus.
Schedule
Office hours are 9:00 AM–5:30 PM Eastern, Monday through Friday. After training, the role is remote on Monday and Friday and in-office Tuesday through Thursday at our McLean, VA headquarters.
