Travel Angio/Interventionalist - $3,246 per week

About the Role

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 1-2 years of vascular/interventional experience for a 13-week travel assignment in Billings, Montana. This role involves working in the Interventional Radiology department performing angiography procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating, scrub, and monitoring tech roles per Angio lab policies and Scope of Practice
• Assist with SIRT mapping/treatments, embolizations, neph tube placements, biliary tube placements, and CT guided procedures including drains, biopsies, and ablations
• Perform Neuro-IR stroke and diagnostic procedures
• Patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
• Provide patient education and address patient/family concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and procedures
• Suture or remove sheath and apply pressure to obtain hemostasis at the end of procedures
• Maintain work area and stock supplies as needed
• Transport patients as needed
• Coordinate care and communicate with other providers post-procedure
• Use Epic for charting

Requirements

• 1-2 years of vascular or interventional experience required
• ARRT (R) certification and BCLS required
• AHA certifications must not expire prior to start date
• Active state license required if applicable
• Vascular/Interventional Radiography certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency
• Proficient in infection control and sterile techniques
• Experience operating imaging equipment and performing radiography
• Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
• Ability to provide life support in emergency situations
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team
• Personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) required for this assignment

Schedule

• 4x10 hour day shifts per week
• 40 hours per week
• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
