Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a 13-week assignment in Urbana, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care via the nursing process.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
• Develops and implements a plan of care based on patient and family needs.
• Communicates with others directly and in private to resolve issues.
• Offers constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers.
• Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
• Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable).
• Collaborates with other multidiscipline team members to provide patient care to various patient populations.
• Conducts and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care.
• Precepts staff from various units as needed.
• Captures and coordinates care to multidiscipline team members to facilitate and provide the highest possible quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• BLS (American Heart Assoc.) and ACLS (American Heart Assoc.) certifications.

Schedule
