American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of acute care experience for a hospital-based PT position focused on high-acuity geriatric patients within a regional referral center.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a regional referral center
• Unit focuses on general medicine floors with a primarily geriatric patient population
• High-acuity cases common due to the regional referral nature of the facility
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts (8:00–16:30, occasionally 8:30–17:00)
• 5 days per week, with approximately 4 weekend shifts per month; specific weekend schedule discussed during interview
• May float to other general medicine floors within the hospital
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• Current PT license for the state of Louisiana required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required (AHA-issued)
• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
• Acute care hospital experience required
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Candidates may be assigned to an emergency response team by their unit manager in the event of an emergency, with an expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team until the event has passed

Pay, Schedule, Benefits

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
