About the role
American Traveler is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital in Walla Walla, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services in a short-term acute care hospital setting at a Level III Trauma Center.
- Work in a 4x10-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 17:00 PM.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, promote independence, and facilitate recovery.
- Participate in weekend rotations, approximately once every 4 weeks.
- Float between all facilities within the state of Washington as needed.
- Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient care.
Requirements
- Active Washington state OT license required and must be in hand at time of consideration.
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience required.
- Acute care experience is a hard stop requirement.
- Active BLS certification required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Inpatient rehab experience preferred.
- Full Social Security Number (SSN) and Date of Birth (DOB) required for consideration.
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of total employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting required for consideration.
Qualifications
- Self-driven, hardworking, and collaborative team player.
- Former permanent staff at this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
- Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position.

Benefits
Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
