About the Role

Supplemental Health Care is hiring Occupational Therapists for acute care hospital contracts in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is a travel position with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy licensure in Virginia
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1-year experience as an Occupational Therapist
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and facility personnel

Pay

$1,880 – $2,046 per week (based on 8-hour shifts and 40.0 hours per week, subject to confirmation; tax-free stipend amount to be determined). Compensation depends on various factors including qualifications and experience.

Schedule

8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week, 13-week contract with possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Help patients regain and maintain the skills they need to live and work independently
• Provide OT treatment and patient care according to facility guidelines
• Effectively communicate with patients, families, and other caregivers
• Delegate and supervise occupational therapist assistants as needed
