About the role

The Trauma Registrar position at South Texas Health System is responsible for managing the trauma registry, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting, and supporting the trauma program's goals.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and maintain patient information in the trauma registry system.
• Compile and analyze trauma registry data to support clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
• Prepare reports and presentations for medical staff meetings and administrative reviews.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a trauma registry or related role.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
