About the role
As a Trauma Associate Sales Representative at Smith+Nephew, you will support the Trauma Sales team within an assigned territory. Your responsibilities include installations, troubleshooting and maintenance, demo inventory setup, and customer in-service. You will also assist in transporting customer inventory between accounts and covering surgical cases for sales reps within certain accounts.
Responsibilities
- Support the Trauma Sales team within an assigned territory with installations, troubleshooting and maintenance, demo inventory setup, and customer in-service.
- Transport customer inventory between accounts and cover surgical cases for sales reps within certain accounts.
- Study technical information and surgical procedures in the Trauma Orthopaedics product portfolio specializing in solutions for internal and external fixation to restore the function of the injured body part(s) quickly and effectively.
- Manage a 24/7 call rotation within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Minimum (2) two years sales experience.
- Preferred experience in the healthcare industry, specifically selling orthopedic products or as an EMT/Paramedic, Surgical Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, or Operating Room Aide, athletic trainer.
- Proven track record selling/converting business at the surgeon or hospital level.
- Experience leading/mentoring team members.
- Travel requirements: within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.

- Ability to build positive relationships with surgeons and hospital personnel.
- Assist and train surgeons and hospital personnel on the proper use and care of product equipment.
- Support the Sales Representative to generate revenue and meet/exceed the territory’s quota.

Pay
The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $65,000 USD annually and the compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications.
Schedule
Within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
